Upon the opening of the new school in its current location on the northside in 1937, Lane Tech Swimming immediately became one of the top programs in the state under the development of it’s first coach, John Newman.
Who We Are
- In its 82 year history, Lane’s swim teams have won 9 overall state titles, produced 96 All-State swimmers, 48 State Champions and 6 Olympians
- They have won over 30 City Championships, including 10 Championships between 2010 – 2022
