2025 LT Girls Swim/Dive: Summer FUN-draising

In preparation for the 2025 Swim Season ahead, we are kicking off with a Summer FUN-draising Event and request parents sign up to volunteer to work a shift at the Square Roots Fest.   The Lincoln Square Chambers offers Grant dollars for every shift covered.  We are looking for a minimum of 10 shifts covered over the weekend.  The more we have the more money we are granted!

SignUp Link: https://signup.com/go/RHYevMN

The event – Lincoln Square – Square Roots Festival (Music & Craft Beer Street Fest)

Dates – Friday July 11th (5pm) – Sunday July 13 (9pm)

Location – 4400-4600 Block N. Lincoln Ave

You will need to fill in your name, email, phone number, and t-shirt size, and then select your preferred time slots and duties.

IMPORTANT – indicate you are representing your Lane Tech Swim – “Lady Warriors”.  This helps to accurately track volunteer hours

Please volunteer for shifts ASAP, as they will fill quickly. We are counting on these early fundraising efforts to support the team at the beginning of their season in August.

2025 Lane Girls Swim/Dive: Volunteer Opportunities

Greetings swim/dive families!

I hope everyone had a great holiday weekend & excited for summer.  That does mean the 2025 school year is right around the corner…..so we need to start prepping for another amazing Lane girl swim/dive season!

Several of you approached me regarding volunteering this year; here is your chance.  Last year was mostly covered by senior parents and we need a few more parents to step up this year.  Our Treasury position needs to be filled if someone would be willing release Ed Schober from the role he has graciously continued to manage; please let us know as soon as possible.

Please consider getting involved in the following & reach out to me if interested:

•VP:  Assist president w/manage fundraisers, spirit wear, team functions, manage parent communication, etc.

•Treasurer:  Manages the budget – expenses and donations – excel skills a plus (Ed Schober – current board member)

•Meet Write-Up:  Capture meet details and send weekly to LT Newsletter (Dawn Hickey – past board member)

•Spirit wear:  Order, collect $, distribute items

•Volunteer chair:  Organize timers and bus chaperone

A few other key points:

•8/11:  First practice

•8/18:  First day of school

Cheers,
Jamee

Gold vs. Green

We hope everyone is excited for our Gold vs. Green meet tomorrow!

Swimmers please arrive by 2pm to help set everything up and warm up. We will be starting the meet at 3:30pm. Parents who wish to attend are welcome, but please remember to NOT park in the parking lot. They have been locking up the parking lot (cars included) at 5pm, so if you park in there, there’s a chance you are locked in all weekend with no way of getting your car out. We will send out an update if this changes and the lot becomes an option (we’re working on it!).

After the swim meet, we will be having a parent meeting in the Alumni Room (Room 113). All swimmers and parents are welcome to attend.
